The 1st International Conference of the Korean Society for Drug Science (ICKSDS 2026)

▪ The organizing committee of the 1st International Conference of the Korean Society for Drug Science (ICKSDS 2026) cordially invites researchers, clinicians, industry experts, and policymakers to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation. The conference that is held on March 26–27, 2026, in Seoul, The Republic of Korea, will bring together global leaders to discuss in drug science, including drug forensics, addiction, synthesis, etc.

Why ICKSDS 2026?

Since its foundation, the Korean Society for Drug Science has served as a key hub for advancing research and policy in drug safety, addiction, therapeutics, and forensic sciences, bridging academia, industry, and regulatory authorities. ICKSDS 2026 will provide a premier international forum to share novel scientific findings, regulatory perspectives, and technological innovations relevant to drug science and public health. Through plenary lectures, thematic symposia, poster presentations, and structured networking sessions, this conference will foster multidisciplinary collaboration across clinical, basic, environmental, analytical, and policy domains.

Abstracts are especially welcome that align with the core themes of the 2026 program, including but not limited to:
▪ Clinical management, rehabilitation, and treatment of substance use and related disorders
▪ Mechanisms of addiction and neurobiology of substance use
▪ Environmental exposure, toxicology, and public health impact of drugs and related substances
▪ Analytical methods, detection technologies, and industrial applications in drug science
▪ Drug policy, forensic science, regulation, and public communication
▪ Young Scientist/Professional (YSP) research in all areas of drug science

Types of Contributions

▪ Oral Presentation (thematic sessions)
▪ Poster Presentation
– Selected abstracts may be assigned to plenary-linked or focused symposia depending on scientific quality and program fit.

Presentation Details (for Oral Presentations)

▪ Mechanisms of addiction and neurobiology of substance use
▪ Duration: 20–25 minutes including 3–5 minutes for discussion
▪ Language: English only
▪ Presentation format: On-site (with technical support for slides and audio)

Key Scientific Topics

Abstract submissions are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following areas:

▪ Clinical and rehabilitative approaches for substance use and behavioral addictions
▪ Translational and mechanistic studies on addiction and reward circuitry
▪ Environmental contaminants, emerging substances, and their health impacts
▪ Advanced analytical, surveillance, and detection technologies (lab-based and field-ready)
▪ Regulatory science, forensic investigation, policy frameworks, and risk communication
▪ Drug safety, pharmacovigilance, and real-world evidence in drug use
▪ Industry perspectives, technology transfer, and public–private collaboration in drug science
▪ Education, outreach, and public engagement on drug-related issues
▪ Young investigator research across all domains of drug science
